A fleeting masterpiece appeared in my backyard this morning. I was struck by how appropriate it was to see this on the last day of another decade - to be reminded that despite recessions and wars and all of the other ills affecting the world - there is always a new day ahead, another chance to try to make today a little better than yesterday was for myself, my family and friends and those around us.”
