I just read an interesting post on boingboing claiming Yahoo domain registrar is attempting to (successfully) charge domain renewal fees for domains that have long been transferred away from them.

Rob Beschizza claims he was successfully charged renewal fees for at least one domain name he had previously transferred away from Yahoo as a result of Yahoo’s exorbitant domain renewal fees - Yahoo charges $35 for .com renewals.
